Beep me
2023 marked a decade since I made design my career and when burnout got the better of me. As a person who loves their job like a long-lasting hyper-fixation, if I’m not passionate about my work, the quality of my it suffers. This was my ‘quit your job to go freelance’ or ‘start a ceramic Etsy store’ crossroads.
Freelancing has given me freedom and variety that reignited my love for design. My strong portfolio showcases my skills in graphic design, UI, branding, motion, and illustration. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with some of Australia’s most iconic brands, worked across a range of industries, and be a part of projects that excite and challenge me.
I'm passionate about visual and communication design, always seeking to learn new tools and techniques. I’m committed to producing work that I am proud of, and my clients continue to return my the high-quality results and unique design thinking.
What I did here is still protected under an NDA and has not launched yet, but let’s just say the work I modeled in 3D was very cool, and I can’t wait to see it come to life in the real world.
My time at Allkinds allowed me to be playful with my work again. This tends to go hand in hand when your target audience is 14 and under. I was able to go mad with my motion graphic skills and learn how to animate things like bubbles and rainbows, which I wouldn’t have had the chance to do at places that take themselves more seriously.
I developed the motion identity for each range and rolled this out across all digital touchpoints, including paid ads, social content, and in-store screen signage. I produced all digital marketing assets, including EDMs, paid media, social content, website assets, and more.
I started at Bondi Sands remotely during the pandemic and quickly grew to attached the role, eventually going full-time. I found working from home to really suit me and realised it increased my productivity. From there, I quickly moved into the role of Design Lead and headed up a team of three designers and an army of freelancers. From there I quickly moved into the role of Design Lead and headed up a team of 3 designers and an army of freelancers.
I led the creative direction and digital production for the core Bondi Sands brand and their sister brand Everyday Skincare. I was responsible for motion graphics and video editing of paid media, OOH and digital campaign execution and managed identity development while championing brand consistency. I also played a key role in producing internal photography and videography for product and lifestyle content.
This role was a big step forward for me. I had never worked with senior designers or creative directors and was eager to learn as much as I could from my mentors. I’m a hands-on learner, not one to learn it from a book. The quality of my work really stepped up, and I gained valuable and fundamental skills you don’t learn at uni. Many of these I still use every day.
I managed digital and print design projects, created digital mockups and motion graphics for portfolio showcasing, assisted in rebranding initiatives, and maintained consistent quality and visual identity across all projects.
My humble beginning. Landing the job while working the Print & Copy desk at Officeworks, I was responsible for all creative assets for the business for over a year and a half. This included digital marketing, social content, product photography, retouching, copywriting, textile design, product design, and during busy periods, even packing the orders. When the design team grew, I led our small department through a rebrand, a record-breaking Black Friday Sale (making a year’s worth of profit over one weekend), countless campaigns, photoshoots, and launches.
I bring experience, creative depth, and a focus on making each project memorable and true to your brand. I care about every design I produce and creative decision I make which will be reflected in the quality of work you will receive. Also, I believe design should be fun—for both of us.
My creative process is a blend of curiosity, exploration, and intuition. It starts with diving into the you and your why, asking questions, then letting ideas brew. It’s about creating space for inspiration and refinement to bring your vision to life.
Communication is key here. Depending on the size of your project this might be in the form of a casual chat or I'll get you to fill out a questionnaire where we can get into the nitty gritty.
I studied a Bachelor's of Communication Design at Monash University.
Don't feel restricted by this list. The skills and services I offer are far too long for this format (plus I'm exhausted writing about myself). Don't hesitate to reach-out if you're liking my style but needing help in a format or platform I haven't mentioned here ✿
